Fontane walked through the beautiful landscape of the Mark Brandenburg and described it enthusiastically in his books. The artist Susanne Haun captures the impressions she gained after reading the book in colorful linocuts. Haun works according to the principle of the lost form, which Picasso already used, and rubs the color into the paper with a brush. This presses the color into the paper, which is untypical for linocuts. Where no color is rubbed onto the high-quality Sumie-e paper from Hahnemühle, the paper wrinkles and brings the motif to life.

Susanne Haun uses linocut inks from Schmincke.

Due to the technique and the different colors used in each printing step, each of the 23 prints made from this plate can be described as a unique print. Nevertheless, Haun numbers the sheets to make them identifiable. The second unique print is offered here.

The sheet size is 24 x 32 cm, the printing plate 15 x 20 cm.
