Susanne Haun spends at least 3 weeks a year in Italy. She is a fan of the way of life of the people in Italy, in Tuscany. The good espresso, sometimes drunk quickly at the bar, and the sweet pastries, the wine in the evening in the warm evening air gives her the peace to face the turbulent life as an artist. For this drawing she sat in an olive grove below Volterra and captured an old bony tree with her typical ink lines.
For the depiction of Volterra she also used ink, but she applied it to the handmade paper with a brush.
Susanne Haun uses Hahnemühle handmade paper and antique ink from Rohrer.
